JD-Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with routing and switching protocols, hands-on expertise in working with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst devices, and a strong background in configuration, ticket handling, incident management, troubleshooting, debugging, and L2/L3 protocol support.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide updates on network status and incidents.
Routing & Switching:
Design, configure, and manage routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, VLAN, VTP, HSRP, VRRP).
Optimize network performance and ensure scalability.
Cisco Nexus & Catalyst Devices:
Perform configuration, management, and maintenance of Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches.
Ensure seamless operation and upgrades of Cisco network devices.
Network Support & Troubleshooting:
Handle Level 2/Level 3 (L2/L3) network troubleshooting, including debugging and resolving complex issues.
Provide operational support for network incidents, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents.
Incident & Ticket Management:
Manage support tickets through proper prioritization, escalation, and resolution.
Monitor and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Configuration & Maintenance:
Configure and deploy networking solutions to meet organizational needs.
Maintain and update network diagrams, documentation, and processes.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs.
