Sr. R&D QA Engineer (EDA Licensing)

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Licensing QA Engineer with expertise in product licensing
within EDA or mechanical CAD companies. The ideal candidate should have strong

technical proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, and QA methodologies, along with hands-
on experience in DevOps tools like GIT, Jenkins, and multi-platform environments (Linux

and Windows).
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee communication with KAL, OFS, vendor (Revenera) and
  validate incoming licensing issues from the field and factory (JIRAs/queries).
• Qualify the yearly LDB release and ensure its successful deployment.
• Perform QA testing of the licensing module and its integration with the product.
• Develop test plans and automate test cases for new licensing features.
• Ensure backward compatibility and maintain quality standards for all DES
  products.
• Implement module-level and integrated automated test coverage.
• Create, execute, and document test cases for new and existing features.
• Maintain Jenkins build and regression jobs.
• Monitor and report failures in regression tests, suggesting necessary rectifications.
• Validate stories, bugs, requests, and tasks to meet defined completion criteria.
• Provide responsive support for customer issues by running archived test cases or
  collaborating with design flow experts.
• Coordinate with the LP team and cross-functional teams for updates, publishing,
  and enabling downloads.
• Meet Agile metrics and minimize sprint spillovers.
  Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Must-have:
  o Domain expertise in product licensing (EDA or mechanical CAD).
  o Strong proficiency in Python and Shell scripting.
  o Experience with QA methodologies and automation.
  o Hands-on experience with GIT, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools.
  o Multi-platform experience (Linux and Windows).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.
